Anne and Cornel celebrated their December 21st wedding in style at the Hotel InterContinental in downtown Chicago.  Everyone was glad to be there after surviving the “apocalypse”!

The ceremony took place in the Hall of Lions.  Guests gathered on the main floor, and the groom and groomsmen descended the grand staircase as the wedding began.  The wedding party entered to “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” by J.S. Bach, and Anne opted for the traditional “Bridal Chorus” by Richard Wagner for her processional.

The pastor asked me to play a short musical interlude after his homily, and that was Gabriel Faure’s beautiful “Cantique de Jean Racine.”  For the big exit, they went with the traditional “Wedding March” by Felix Mendelssohn.

Following the ceremony, everyone went upstairs to the Camelot Room for cocktails, with the reception following.
