My first wedding show of 2013 was the Elegant Bridal Expo at the downtown Hilton in Springfield, Illinois. I participated in this show last February (its first year), and it was such a wonderful experience that I knew I had to come back!
You can also see my fabulous new iPad stand in this picture. I switched to having all of my music scanned rather than printed and carried around in huge binders about a year ago. This was the next upgrade, which keeps the area around the harp looking less cluttered, enables everyone to see the instrument without having a bigger stand in the way, and I can keep all of the music I play available at my fingertips ~ I love it!
With florists, planners, caterers, venues, photographers, and entertainers, wedding expos are a wonderful place to begin your planning or to get ideas for some last-minute touches for your ceremony and reception. I spoke with nearly 100 brides and grooms at my booth, and the first two contracts from couples who met me there have already been sent out!
