Last Tuesday evening, I was invited to play for the opening reception for the 2013 International Workshop on Molecular and Cellular Biology of Plasminogen Activation. The event welcomed attendees to Notre Dame and kicked off a week of workshops and presentations.
The reception took place in McKenna Hall on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. With scientists coming to the workshop from all over the world, I made sure to play a wide variety of music, from popular songs of many eras to well-known classical pieces and folk songs.
We placed the harp on a large landing of the staircase that overlooks the lobby, so the sound of the instrument could be heard throughout the space. Attendees could enjoy food and drinks, hear the harp, and still be able to hold a conversation!
The harp is a wonderful and unique addition to corporate events and private parties! Please contact me or visit my website (Notre Dame Harp Music) to find out more about having a harpist entertain your guests!
