Traverse City Harpist ~ Wedding Ceremony at Ciccone Vineyard & Winery

A Thursday is the perfect day to get married!  Not only do you have less competition among other couples getting married on your same date for vendors and venues, but most wedding professionals offer weekday discounts for couples who chose dates other than Saturdays.

This lovely wedding took place at Ciccone Vineyards in Suttons Bay, Michigan.  Rachel and Kyle had their ceremony overlooking the vineyard, followed by their reception in the barn.  Having a beautiful outdoor location and an indoor space for dinner steps away from one another makes the logistics and timing of your wedding so much easier!

I played as guests began to arrive at the winery, and when the pastor gave me the cue that the mothers were ready to enter, I played “A Time for Us” from Romeo and Juliet.  The wedding party entered to “I Love How You Love Me.”

Rachel had a special surprise prepared for Kyle.  Knowing that he is a huge Lord of the Rings fan, she requested that I play “In Dreams” from that movie for her entrance.  She told him she was entering to something traditional, but he was so excited when he heard the song she really planned for him!  I know all of the bridesmaids were waiting to see his reaction, as they were in on the surprise, too!

The recessional was “Marry You” by Bruno Mars, and I played upbeat, popular songs for postlude music as guests made their way to the cocktail hour by the barn.
