Iowa Harpist ~ Wedding Reception Music in Davenport

Gwendolyn and Todd chose a non-traditional venue for their intimate wedding reception ~ Endless Brews Bottle Shop and Tap Room in downtown Davenport, Iowa.  When I walked in, I couldn’t believe how beautiful everything was!  The gold lace tablecloths even matched the detail on the bride’s dress.

I was set up right by the entrance, and people walking down the sidewalk could see me through the windows.  At least twice, passers-by stopped and pressed an ear to the window to listen to the harp music!

The couple requested that I play Baroque and Classical music for the first half of the reception, and then transition to modern pop and rock songs for the second half.  Other than that, they left specific music choices up to me.  I love it when my clients trust me to create the perfect soundtrack for their day!  I’m then able to select music that not only fits their theme and the vibe of the room in the moment, but pieces that sound especially lovely on the harp.

As guests arrived, they were greeted with the music of Bach, Vivaldi, and Mozart.  By the time they were having dinner, they were listening to Coldplay and James Blunt.  I’m a very versatile harpist, and love playing songs that people don’t expect to hear on the harp!
