What a beautiful fall wedding! I played for this intimate reception on a Thursday evening at the Red Apple Inn on Eden Isle ~ just outside Heber Springs, Arkansas. From the garden dining room, we could see the fountain on the grounds of the Inn and fall colors on the trees across the hills.
Raeana didn’t have specific pieces of music that she requested, just a variety of styles. The playlist I created for her included classical, gospel, jazz, and pop songs. I played as they enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and dinner, and even for the dances!
Although they all proclaimed to definitely not be dancers, they wanted to include the tradition in their wedding reception. The bride and groom shared their first dance to “Endless Love,” the groom and his daughter danced to “Rainbow Connection,” and the groom and his mother danced to “What a Wonderful World.” The couple also later danced to “You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban.
For weddings of any size, the harp fits in beautifully! From large cathedrals to backyards, I have played for formal and informal weddings, with large guest lists and small, on every day of the week. You can find out more on my website: North Arkansas Harpist for Weddings.
