Astri and Bryson celebrated their wedding at Chestnut Mountain Resort, just outside of Galena, Illinois. The ceremony site overlooked the Mississippi River, and the trees provided welcome shade on a hot Sunday afternoon. The bride is herself a harpist, and it is always a delight to play for the wedding of another musician!
The bride’s and groom’s families were seated to “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and the wedding party came down the aisle to “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.” The bride chose the classical piece, and wedding favorite, “Canon in D” by Pachelbel for her processional.
The father of the bride performed the ceremony, and I played “The Prayer” from Quest for Camelot during the unity ritual. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the newly married couple and their attendants exited to “Trumpet Voluntary.”
In Galena or Dubuque, and across Northern Illinois, Eastern Iowa, and Southwest Wisconsin, I love working with couples to personalize their wedding music!
