Appleton Harpist ~ Wedding at Kimberly Point Lighthouse

I have played for weddings every day of the week.  This one was on a Tuesday afternoon!  When you are selecting your wedding date, you are not limited to Saturdays – or even a weekend day.  Choose a day that has special significance to you and your future spouse.  In this case, Mike and Lorraine got married on the anniversary of their 10th date, and in the same location!

The ceremony was by the lighthouse at Kimberly Point Park in Neenah, Wisconsin.  They had a lovely day for the outdoor ceremony, so even though it got off to a late start, at least it was comfortable outside!

The prelude included music from Final Fantasy, and the bridal party entered to “Drops of Jupiter.”  Lorraine wanted to be sure I played her processional piece, “Cosmic Love” by Florence and the Machine, in its entirety, so she waited until a specific moment in the song to begin her walk down the aisle.  It worked out perfectly and the piece finished just as she arrived at the front.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the couple walked back down the aisle to “In My Life” by The Beatles.  I continued to play upbeat postlude music as guests exited and headed to the reception in Appleton.
