Top Wedding Music of 2018

One of my favorite activities for January is to go back over my previous year of weddings, recording their music selections, and seeing what comes out on top as the most-requested songs for the year!  I also love looking back over the pictures from the events I’ve played, and seeing all the exciting places I’ve been able to share my harp music over the past twelve months.

If you are planning a wedding, now is a great time to contact me to discuss the music for your ceremony, reception, and rehearsal dinner!

2018 started for me with a January 3rd destination wedding on the beach in Boca Chica, Panama.  Not bad, especially as I left behind a snowstorm!

Along with all the weddings in both magnificent and intimate venues (everything from a yacht at Chicago’s Navy Pier to a backyard concert in Manhattan, Kansas), I partnered with a flautist from Bahrain to play a series of performances for the Gulf Brands Expo in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.  Lots of passport stamps for me – and the harp – this year!

Going beyond just a “Top 10” list, the listing below includes ALL of the music chosen by my couples in 2018.  Each list has the most popular pieces at the top, and the numbers in parentheses tell you how many times I have played that song for that particular moment of a ceremony.  Click on the songs highlighted in blue to hear a sample of me playing those pieces on the harp.
