Wedding Harpist ~ Jefferson City, MO

Located midway between Jefferson City and St. Louis, and in the heart of Missouri’s wine trail, Cedar Creek Event Center is a beautiful wedding venue!  This ceremony was held inside their barn, with guests entering through rustic wooden doors.

The bride’s mother hired me for her daughter’s wedding.  During the months leading up to the wedding, I worked with the bride – also named Devon! – to plan her wedding music.  The prelude included “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica, “Only Time” by Enya, and “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran.

Family members came down the aisle to the “Feather Theme” from Forrest Gump, and the processional for the wedding party was Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.”  Devon’s entrance music was “Canon in D” by Pachelbel.

When the bride and groom were introduced to their guests, I played “Lucky” by Jason Mraz for their exit.  The postlude continued with “Better Days” by the Goo Goo Dolls and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from Disney’s The Lion King.

The music for your wedding can be classical and traditional, or you can choose something more unexpected.  Or a little of both, like Devon and Tyson did!  Whenever I play music that isn’t the wedding standards, guests always compliment the selections.
