Jackson, MS, Harpist ~ Wedding at McClain Lodge

Jackson MS Wedding Music

This was my final outdoor wedding for the year.  Fall weather is definitely upon us, and it’s nearly time to get out the Christmas music!  Hannah Grace and Henry were married at the lakeside pavilion, complete with a fireplace (wonderful on a cool autumn evening!), at McClain Lodge in Brandon, Mississippi.  Just a short drive from Jackson, it’s secluded and beautiful, and has indoor and outdoor options for both your ceremony and reception.

The bride chose to have mostly Disney music for the ceremony.  The groom and officiant entered to “Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and the family took their seats as I played “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” both from The Lion King.  The wedding party processional was “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story, and Hannah Grace came down the aisle to the traditional “Bridal Chorus.”

They had a dove release at the conclusion of the ceremony.  The doves didn’t want to go very far at first (even through I was playing “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana), and wandered among the family seated in the front row!  The recessional was from Aladdin – “A Whole New World.”  I continued to play upbeat postlude music as guests walked to the reception in the lodge.
