Duluth Harpist | Wedding at Lake Nebagamon, WI

Bradley and Sheena had the perfect day for their outdoor wedding!  The ceremony was on the lawn of the groom’s family cabin on the shore of Lake Nebagamon in Northern Wisconsin.  They held their reception a short walk away at the Auditorium.

As guests arrived, I played a variety of popular love songs, plus the flower girls’ special request – “Let it Go” from Frozen!  The parents of the bride and groom were seated to “A Thousand Years” from Twilight: Breaking Dawn.  The bridal party came down the aisle to “Wanted” by Hunter Hayes, and the bride’s processional was “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran.

During the service, they played a recording of the bride’s late grandfather singing “The Lord’s Prayer” during the unity sand ceremony.  The recessional was “Imagine” by John Lennon, followed by “Happy” by Pharrell Williams.  A few more songs as guests exited, then I pushed the harp down the street to the reception!

With such beautiful weather, many guests stayed outside.  I set up the harp at the entrance to the hall, so the majority of guests would be within hearing range of its sound.  The music for cocktail hour included more pop songs, jazz pieces, and Broadway hits, along with special requests for “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica, “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin, “Dream On” by Aerosmith, and the English folk song “Greensleeves” – for something completely different!

Yes, I can take your guests’ requests!  My specialty is playing music people don’t expect to hear on the harp, but I know all of the classical standards, too.  The music for your wedding can range from classic to contemporary, and everything in between!  I play for weddings all around Duluth, Northern Minnesota, and Northern Wisconsin.  Visit my website ~ Duluth Harpist ~ to contact me for a quote!
