Colleen and Colin’s original wedding date was right as everything in Chicago was closing down in March of 2020. They had a very small wedding with just immediate families that year, then celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary with a full ceremony and reception at Morton Arboretum in Lisle!

The ceremony was held in the Founder’s Room, the former library of the mansion. It was a rainy day, but the snowdrops were blooming and giving us a little taste of spring! I played harp prelude music as guests arrived for the morning ceremony and took their seats.

For the seating of family members and the processional of the wedding party, I played “Ave Maria” by Schubert. “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran was the bridal processional, and the ceremony concluded with “Trumpet Voluntary” as the recessional.

Harp postlude music continued until the guests had exited and were off to the cocktail hour in the lobby. The reception followed in the Arbor Room, also in the Thornhill Education Center. Morton Arboretum has many beautiful indoor and outdoor venues for your wedding!
