Michaela and Kevin had not only harp, but a duet of harp and violin for their Door County wedding ceremony! They had a beautiful summer day for the outdoor event at Landmark Resort in Egg Harbor, with their hilltop ceremony site overlooking Green Bay.
We played classical harp and violin duet music as the guests were seated. For the entrance of the family members, they chose “Fields of Gold” by Sting. The wedding party processional was Taylor Swift’s “Love Story.” Classical instruments can play popular music, too!
Michaela had the DJ play for her own walk down the aisle, then back to live music for the unity sand ceremony. For that moment, they opted for “Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay. I especially love this song with the harp and violin duet! Their recessional was the jazz standard “At Last.”
We continued the postlude music as guests made their way inside for the cocktail hour. Either as a solo harpist or in a chamber ensemble with other musicians, I love personalizing a couple’s wedding music with them! It can be classical, contemporary, or a mix of everything.
