Look at those blue beautiful skies! Arianna and Alex had a grand wedding at Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh, with the ceremony on the lawn and reception indoors. The white flowers were reflected in the mirrors that lined the aisle and platform where the bride and groom said their vows.
Guests arrived and the venue and were directed to their ceremony seats. As they settled in, I played background music to set the mood. Songs included both light classics and popular love songs of today. To begin the ceremony, the families of the couple entered to “Clocks” by Coldplay.
The bridesmaids, all dressed in different white dresses, came down the aisle to the wedding classic, Pachelbel’s “Canon in D.” The bride’s processional music was “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis.
To conclude the ceremony, the recessional was “Stand By Me,” the 1960s hit by Ben E. King. They also requested “Here Comes by the Sun” by The Beatles to be played at some point, and right after the recessional was the perfect time – especially with the cooperative weather!
While the wedding party took pictures around the grounds, the guests headed inside for cocktails and dinner. I continued the harp postlude music until everyone had left the ceremony space.
I play for weddings and events in Pittsburgh and throughout Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. If you are looking for a harpist, please visit my website {Pittsburgh Wedding Harpist} to inquire and learn more about adding harp music to your event!
