My final performance in Lagos before heading back to the US was with the Musical Society of Nigeria, in the world premiere of the New Horizons African Ballet. It was an honor working with the fabulous Tunde Jegede and all of the professional and student musicians and dancers involved.
Musically inspiring and stretching my experiences into a West African style (in a classical context), this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I’m thankful to have been a part of this event.
In addition to playing for the ballet’s premiere, I was also invited to present a set of Irish harp solos in the first half of the concert.
