Bridges of Madison County Wedding
From what I can recall, I believe this was the smallest wedding I’ve ever played for! Other than the bride and groom, there were only three other guests. The ceremony took place at the Roseman Covered Bridge in rural Winterset, Iowa.
One of the famous Bridges of Madison County, the couple looked to the movie of the same name for some musical inspiration. They chose “Doe Eyes” for the bride’s processional. “Tenerife Sea” by Ed Sheeran was the recessional.
Before and after the ceremony, I played a variety of classical and popular songs, including “Falling Slowly,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and “I’m Yours.” I also took the group photo post-ceremony!
I absolutely believe that couples should have a wedding that fits their personalities. A big ballroom wedding was not for them, and they will have wonderful memories of having a wedding that was exactly what they wanted. And no matter where a wedding takes place, harp music is an excellent choice!
