London Harpist ~ Wedding at Elm Hurst Inn, Ingersoll

There’s always something exciting about taking a new harp out for its inaugural performance, and my Venus Encore made its debut at the beautiful Elm Hurst Inn.  Located in Ingersoll, just a short drive from London, this hotel features a restaurant, spa, and gorgeous grounds.

Although the rain kept us all inside, having a back-up plan with a view like this makes an equally stunning backdrop for the ceremony.  Although the ceremony site in the valley was muddy, the wedding party was still able to get some outdoor pictures at other locations on the grounds in between rain showers!

Guests arrived to a room filled with harp music, and the families were seated to “We Know the Way” from Moana.  The wedding party entrance music was “Far Longer than Forever” from The Swan Princess, and the bride came down the aisle to “How Does a Moment Last Forever” from Beauty and the Beast.

Not traditional music, but lovely and perfectly suited to the couple!  The bride, groom, and their witnesses signed the register with “Marry You” by Bruno Mars playing in the background.  The unity sand ceremony followed, to “Can’t Stop Loving You” by Phil Collins.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, I played “Lucky” by Jason Mraz – one of my personal favorites!  Lindsey and Jacob had a variety of music for their ceremony – Disney, Broadway, popular – all made cohesive by the distinctive and romantic sound of the harp.
