Galena Wedding Harpist {Chestnut Mountain Resort}

Lauren and Tony were married the first Saturday in June at the Chestnut Mountain Resort outside of Galena, Illinois.  It was almost exactly one year ago that I had last played for a wedding here!  The ceremony site is beautiful, shaded, and has sweeping views over the Mississippi River.  Fortunately, no flooding issues at the venue!

Guests and the wedding party were transported to the ceremony site in the resort’s trolley, and were greeted with the sound of harp music upon their arrival.  The family members and the wedding party entered to “I Love How You Love Me,” and the bride’s processional was “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”  Older songs, but classics that sound lovely on the harp!

During the tree planting unity ceremony, I played Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”  The recessional was “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles.  I love how they chose music of different eras, all with beautiful melodies!

I played postlude music until the last guests had driven away on the trolley, off to the reception.  If you are interested in having harp music for your wedding in Galena, Dubuque, or anywhere in the area, please get in touch!  More information on my website:  Galena Wedding Musician.
