Harp and Violin Duet in Fort Wayne

October weddings, and it is finally starting to feel like fall!  The golf course at the Fort Wayne Country Club was the setting for this ceremony, with the reception following indoors.  Christie and Nathan chose a harp and violin duet to provide their ceremony music.  This classic duet is by far the most popular ensemble with my couples!

But even with classic instruments, they wanted music for their wedding that was non-traditional and more contemporary.  For the family seating, they chose “Harvest Moon” by Neil Young.  The wedding party came down the aisle to the 1960s hit “Stand By Me,” and Christie’s processional was “Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay.

Not traditional, but there are no rules that say you have to be!  I love working with couples who choose music that means something to them.  It may be sentimental to have the same classical music that was played at your parents’ and grandparents’ weddings, or perhaps you’d prefer the Top 40 song that was playing the first time you danced together.  Either way, I can take that music and make it sound beautiful and elegant for your wedding!

The unity ceremony music was “Crash Into Me” by the Dave Matthews Band – a special request from the groom.  When he came up to thank us after the wedding, he said he wished it took them longer, so he could have heard more of the song!  The recessional was “Wonderwall” by Oasis.

Either as a solo harpist or in an ensemble with one or more other musicians, I love to prepare a custom music experience for your wedding.  Visit my website ~ Fort Wayne Wedding Musicians ~ to get started planning!
