Southern Illinois Wedding Harpist ~ Robinson, IL

I was last at Quail Creek in Robinson about eight years ago, and it was good to be back!  It was a beautiful fall day, even if it felt more like summer.  The ceremony was held outdoors at the point, with the reception following in the banquet center across the lake.

Harpist in Southern IllinoisI played background prelude music as guests arrived, including “Have I Told You Lately that I Love You” and “From this Moment On,” then switched to Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” for the seating of family members and the entrance of the wedding party (which included the bride’s tuxedo-clad Goldendoodle!).  Lauren chose “Can’t Help Falling in Love” for her processional.

As the bride and groom planted a tree for their unity ceremony, I played “I Love How You Love Me” lightly in the background.  Their recessional was the traditional “Wedding March” by Mendelssohn, which I followed with the glissando-filled harp solo “Great Day.”
