St. Louis Harpist – Wentzville Wedding

I love weddings in January!  The holiday rush is over, and it’s wonderful to have an event to anticipate during the cold and snowy days of winter.  Christi and Tom’s January wedding ceremony took place at Bear Creek Golf Club in Wentzville, Missouri.  Their flower girl was fascinated by the harp!

They chose “What a Wonderful World” for the family seating, followed the Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” for the wedding party processional.  The bride came down the aisle to “Moon River” from the classic movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

During the ceremony, the mother of the bride read the text of “The Gift of Love” while I played a harp solo version of the tune (the same as the English folk song “The Water is Wide“) in the background.  “Edelweiss” from The Sound of Music accompanied the unity ritual.

As the newly married couple walked back up the aisle, I played “Trumpet Tune” by Henry Purcell.  I continued with upbeat classical music until the DJ was ready to take over for cocktail hour.

I play for weddings in St. Louis and throughout the metro area.  Please get in touch from my website ~ St. Louis Harp Player ~ to check availability and receive a quote for your event!
