Harp & Violin in Johnson City ~ Tri-Cities Wedding Musicians

The harp and violin duet is my most-requested ensemble, by far!  It is a beautiful combination, with the violin playing the soaring melodies, and the harp filling in the lower registers and the harmonies – with maybe a glissando or two thrown in for fun!  With this duo, you can opt for classical, popular, or Celtic music, or a little bit of everything.  Brooke and Michael chose popular music for their wedding.

Wedding Music Tri-Cities

This ceremony took place at a former Catholic church, now converted to Rose Hill Weddings in Johnson City, Tennessee.  It’s a beautiful, historic space, with a reception venue attached.  The harp and violin prelude music consisted of popular love songs, including “Perfect,” “Stand by Me,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and “Have I Told You Lately that I Love You.”

As the flower girls and ring bearer (the entire, adorable, wedding party!) came down the aisle, we played “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz.  Brooke’s processional music was “A Thousand Years” from Twilight: Breaking Dawn.

The ceremony concluded with the upbeat Beatles hit, “Here Comes the Sun,” followed by more popular music for the postlude (“You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban and “Harvest Moon” by Neil Young).
