West Virginia Harpist ~ Charleston Wedding Music

Elizabeth and Justin were married in the heart of West Virginia, at the Wilderness Lodge just outside of Summersville.  Their venue overlooked the mountains and the Gauley River, and they had perfect weather for their outdoor ceremony!

They chose the Ed Sheeran song “Perfect” for the seating of family members, followed by John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” for the wedding party processional.  Once the flower girl made it down the aisle, “I See the Light” from the Disney movie Tangled announced the bride’s arrival.

The recessional was another contemporary and non-traditional piece – “Wildest Dreams” by Taylor Swift.  Wedding music should be a reflection of your tastes and style, so anything goes!  The couples with whom I work often choose songs that are not classical or what people expect to hear at a wedding, but are personal to them and sound beautiful on the harp.  Each ceremony I play is completely customized by the couple.

I continued with upbeat modern music for the postlude, as they took a group picture with all the guests and then made their way to the pavilion for the cocktail hour.

The harp is a touch of elegance for any event, and I play for weddings and parties throughout West Virginia.  Visit my website ~ Charleston WV Harpist ~ to get in touch and discuss the details!
