Rockford Wedding Music ~ Anderson Japanese Gardens

Kayla and Cam had a microwedding at the Main Gate at Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford.  I’ve played for many weddings at the gardens, but this was a new site for me!  With a small guest list, you have more flexibility in locations, and this one was beautiful.  The chuppah was a floral masterpiece!

They booked with me because of the Final Fantasy music on my repertoire list.  They didn’t want the traditional wedding songs, so we customized a play list just for them!  As their guests arrived, I played several prelude selections, including “Fields of Gold” and the “Main Theme” and “Jessie’s Theme” from Final Fantasy VII.

The groom came down the aisle to “Balamb Garden” from Final Fantasy VIII.  Kayla chose “Sea of Love” by Phil Phillips for her processional.  The ceremony included all of their guests reading parts of the Seven Blessings.  As they signed the Ketubah and marriage license,  I played “I Was Made for Loving You” by Tori Kelly.

Kayla and Cam together broke the glass at the conclusion of the ceremony, and exited to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”  Guests were able to enjoy a stroll around the gardens after closing time before heading off to dinner.
