Alyssa and Robert planned an intimate wedding on a Friday morning at the Memphis Botanic Gardens. The ceremony and reception both took place at the Blecken Pavilion, a secluded and shaded spot that was particularly beautiful on a pleasant early fall day!
As guests arrived and found their seats, I played many of the couple’s special requests, including “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran, “Everytime” by Britney Spears, “Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas, and “Have I Told You Lately that I Love You” by Van Morrison.
Just before the processional, I played “Clair de Lune” by Debussy and “When You Wish Upon a Star” from Pinocchio.
The song for the wedding party and bridal processional was “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” with a glissando and crescendo announcing Alyssa’s entrance. She even incorporated the lyrics of this song in the ceremony décor!
The recessional was “Tale as Old as Time” from Beauty and the Beast, which I followed up with more Disney favorites, love songs, and popular music. The guests were just steps away from the reception tables, so the party could begin immediately!
