Yezenia knew she wanted beautiful, classic music for her wedding, and the harp was the perfect way to incorporate it! I played for both the ceremony and reception at The Decatur Club. The couple even added on some extra time during dinner so they could be sure to enjoy the music, too!
They requested gospel music for the prelude as guests were arriving for the ceremony. The bride chose the “Bridal March from Skjevik” as both her processional and the recessional at the conclusion of the ceremony. I can take the same piece and give it a more stately mood for the entrance, and a more celebratory mood at the end!
During the reception, I played as guests made their way to the dining room down the grand staircase and throughout dinner service. The music included many classical pieces, both familiar and more unique, as well as a few romantic love songs and traditional folk tunes.
