Milwaukee Harpist ~ Wedding on New Year’s Day

There is no better way to ring in the new year than with a wedding!  Aimee managed to dodge the worst of a snowstorm, and had a beautiful winter day for her January 1st ceremony at the Sixth Floor Event Venue in downtown Milwaukee.

The venue is located inside the Hampton Inn, and has a nice view over the city.  The colors of teal and maroon were also the colors of the bride’s parents’ wedding!  Guests gathered for the afternoon ceremony as harp music, including “Perfect,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and “Your Song,” played in the background.

There was no wedding party, so the bride’s processional to “Faithfully” marked the beginning of the ceremony.  During the handfasting, I played Adele’s “All I Ask.”  The ceremony concluded with another Ed Sheeran song, “Castle on the Hill.”

Following the recessional, I played a few more uptempo popular songs as guests headed to cocktail hour and the ceremony space was re-set for dinner.
