What an amazing party! Strong winds meant it had to be inside the family’s home rather than in the yard, but it was beautiful all around!
I played harp music as the birthday girl and her family celebrated, complete with costumes, in Alice in Wonderland style. Everyone was there, from Alice to the Cheshire Cat to the Mad Hatter!
The music was an eclectic mix of classics and contemporary requests. I started with “Bittersweet Symphony” by The Verve. Other song requests included “Stairway to Heaven,” “Gymnopedie No. 1,” “Sky Full of Stars,” and “Concerning Hobbits.” The final piece was “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” by Green Day.
I love when my clients choose music that they love and has special meaning to them. Everyone who hires me can have as much control over the playlist as they would like, and I’m happy to provide song suggestions, too!
They had a tea party, present time, and another special guest who brought animals for the children to see, hold, and learn about.
If you are planning an event and would like to entertain your guests with harp music, please get in touch! I play in the Manhattan area and throughout Kansas. Visit my website ~ Manhattan Harpist ~ to learn more.
