Renaissance Wedding Music ~ Harpist in Columbia

Megan and Cory chose to have a Renaissance-themed wedding, and invited their guests (and their harpist!) to dress to the era. I’m always happy to wear attire that matches your colors, level of formality, and theme!

Those sleeves look amazing when I playing the harp! As guests arrived at the Firestone Baars Chapel in Columbia, Missouri, they were greeted with classical, Renaissance, and New Age music. For the seating of the family, they chose “Only Time” by Enya.

The wedding party came down the aisle to the main theme from Final Fantasy VII, and Megan’s bridal processional was “A Time for Us” from Romeo and Juliet. The bride’s brother did a reading, under which I lightly played the Irish folk song “Fanaid Grove.”

During the handfasting ceremony, the background music was another Final Fantasy VII selection, “Aerith’s Theme.” To conclude the ceremony, the recessional was “Caribbean Blue,” also by Enya. I continued with upbeat music as guests exited the sanctuary and were off to the reception.
