Kelsey and Nick were married at The Eloise, a beautiful venue just outside of Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. It’s a modern facility with the convenience of having an indoor ceremony space open to the banquet hall below. With this comes great acoustics! They opted for a harp and violin duet for their ceremony music.
As guests arrived, we played popular love songs, from Ed Sheeran to Elvis, including their special requests of “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King and “This Love” by Maroon 5. The family entered to “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin. Yes, you can have rock music from classical instruments!
The wedding party processional was “From this Moment On” by Shania Twain, and the bride came down the aisle to another Led Zeppelin song – “Whole Lotta Love.”
The ceremony concluded with the recessional “You are in Love” by Taylor Swift. For this song and the bridal processional, I created custom harp and violin arrangements specifically for this wedding. If the music you want doesn’t exist (yet!), I can create it for you! We continued postlude music as guests went downstairs for cocktails and dinner, when the DJ took over for the reception.
Although many of my weddings are for solo harp, I love collaborating with my professional musician colleagues! Whether you are imagining floating down the aisle to the sound of Debussy on the flute with a gentle harp accompaniment or want to shake things up with harp & jazz piano, I have a wonderful network of instrumentalists and singers to bring your vision to life.
