Another harp solo Christmas concert! This was part of the Advent Allegro series at Faith Lutheran Church in Jacksonville, Illinois. Coming back to this church was especially meaningful for me – it was where I had my very first harp performance, just a couple of months after my first lesson. I’ve certainly improved since then!
I began the concert with “Angelus,” a piece by French composer and harpist Henriette Renie. The remainder was Christmas music, both traditional (“Away in a Manger”) and less familiar (“Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella”). I closed the concert with the Austrian carol “Still, Still, Still.”
Contact me about giving a concert, either as a soloist or with a larger ensemble, for your organization or performance series! I am available in Central Illinois and throughout the Midwest, and you can contact me via my website: Central Illinois Harpist.
