Jennifer and Kevin involved many of their family members in their wedding, but knew the responsibility for the majority of the wedding music was better left to a professional so their guests could more fully enjoy the ceremony without that worry! The service took place Illinois Wesleyan University’s Evelyn Chapel.
While guests arrived, the harp prelude included a variety of classical music and well-known love songs. They chose traditional music for the processionals – Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” for the wedding party and Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus (Here Comes the Bride)” for Jennifer’s walk down the aisle.
The bride’s step-father performed the ceremony, and her brother played a piece on the piano as the couple lit the unity candle.
For the recessional, they chose something more upbeat and popular – “All My Loving” by the Beatles. I continued the postlude music until the guests had exited the chapel, playing more contemporary pieces that people would recognize.
Whether traditional, pop, or a bit of a mix, the harp music for your wedding can be anything you want it to be! I play for ceremonies, receptions, showers, and rehearsal dinners in Bloomington-Normal and throughout Central Illinois.
