With any event, harp music adds a serene and beautiful touch. I was hired to provide Celtic harp music for a memorial service and sculpture dedication in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
It was a beautiful early spring day, with just enough wind for Mother Nature to play the harp strings a bit herself! Guests gathered around the memorial pavilion to the special request songs of “Loch Lomond,” “The Parting Glass,” and “The Water is Wide.” There was a bit of a delay, but I played continuously with more Irish and other Celtic songs until everyone arrived and was ready to begin!
During the service, I accompanied a singer who performed a lovely rendition of the Irish folk song “O Danny Boy.” Following the service, everyone enjoyed drinks on the lawn.
