Macey & Wayne’s wedding was at The Reserve in Birmingham, Michigan. The set-up there is perfect – outdoor weddings and the cocktail hour take place under the attached tent, then the reception inside their lavish ballroom. They also had perfect fall weather!
The bridal party entered to “I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain. Macey went with the traditional processional, Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus” for her entrance. The ceremony concluded with the breaking of the glass, and I played Train’s “Hey Soul Sister” for the recessional.
A quick change of the ceremony set-up to tables for the cocktail hour, and was able to just stay in the same location, playing as guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers (including sushi!). I played mostly contemporary love songs, with a few classics included.
I am a professional Detroit harpist, and love working with couples to plan the music for their weddings! For ceremonies, receptions, showers, and rehearsal dinners, the harp is the perfect romantic touch to add to the festivities. Visit my website ~ Detroit Wedding Harpist ~ for details!
