For the second year in a row, I was back at the Irish Consulate in Lagos for their St. Patrick’s Day party. Last year, the main event was in the capital of Abuja, but the ambassador and consul agreed that this year’s March 17th celebration would be in Lagos.
Guests included the Irish ambassador and consul, Irish citizens living in Lagos, local dignitaries, and diplomats from around the world. As it was last year, the party took place at the Irish Consulate in the Ikoyi neighborhood of Lagos.
I played Irish music as guests arrived and were ushered to the lawn for dinner.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! It wouldn’t be complete without a little bit of shamrock cuteness.
