Natilie and Joseph were married on a Friday afternoon at St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton, Illinois. Not every parish allows this, but they filled their ceremony with popular and Irish music! The sanctuary was stunning, bursting with flowers and draped in white.
As guests filed in, I played several Celtic and classical pieces, plus “Stairway to Heaven,” “Only Time” by Enya, and “Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts. The mothers were seated to “I Love How You Love Me.”
“Falling Slowly” from Once was the bridal party processional, and Natilie chose “Can’t Help Falling in Love” for her entrance. During the sign of the peace, I played “Amazing Grace,” and the recessional was “Marry Me” by Train.
The postlude for guest dismissal included more Irish tunes, along with “Hey Jude” by The Beatles and “Come Sail Away” by Styx. Quite the eclectic mix of songs!
