Central Illinois Harpist – Wedding at Piper Glen

Although the wedding was originally planned to be outdoor at Piper Glen Golf Club, a week of heavy rain, with more thunderstorms forecast for Saturday, moved the ceremony inside the tent where the reception was held.

The ground was so soggy, the chairs couldn’t even be set up without sinking!  Fortunately, the tent was beautiful too, and everyone stayed dry.  In between showers, the bride, groom, and wedding party were able to get some outdoor photos – the best of both worlds!

I played harp music as guests entered the tent and found their seats.  The parents of the couple came down the aisle to “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” by J. S. Bach, and the wedding party processional was Pachelbel’s “Canon in D.”

Jordan stayed traditional with her choices, including “Here Comes the Bride” for her walk down the aisle, and “Wedding March” as she and Maxwell exited as a married couple.

For weddings indoors or out, harp music is an excellent choice!  Music options range from the traditional classics, as this couple requested, to contemporary love songs and folk music from around the world.

Each couple I work with customizes their ceremony music to be exactly what they want it to be, and I’d love to hear from you!  Visit my website – Central IL Harpist – to check availability and receive a quote for your wedding.
