Andrea and Charlie celebrated their marriage with an intimate wedding ceremony in the Still Room at Journeyman Distillery in Three Oaks, Michigan. Southwest Michigan is full of lovely venues, and the exposed brickwork, large windows, cafe lighting, and oak barrels added to the ambiance at this one!
As guests arrived, the prelude music included “Lovesong” by The Cure, “City of Stars” from La La Land, “Clocks” by Coldplay, and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King. Andrea came down the aisle to “Canon in D” by Johann Pachelbel.
During the ceremony, the couple requested that I play continuous music lightly in the background. Those pieces were “Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz and “La Vie en Rose,” a jazz standard made famous by the French singer Edith Piaf. The recessional was Enya’s “Only Time.”
Guests headed upstairs as the room was prepared for dinner. As they exited, postlude music included “Truly Madly Deeply” by Savage Garden, “Fix You” by Coldplay, and the 1960s hit “San Francisco” by Scott McKenzie.
I play for weddings in Southwest Michigan and all over the region (yes, even on the beaches of Lake Michigan!). Contact me to check availability and discuss the music for your wedding by visiting my website: Southwest Michigan Wedding Harpist.
