Of course I did not know it at the time, but this would be my last event before the coronavirus pandemic shut down all events, performances, and gatherings. It was for a small group of people celebrating the life of a friend who had passed away in January.
Harp music welcomed the guests into the Ford Presidential Ballroom at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids. They had hors d’oeuvres, lunch, speeches, and a slideshow.
They requested the songs “Canon in D,” “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “Come Sail Away,” “Stairway to Heaven,” and “Moonlight Sonata.” I continued with other similar selections in the background as the meal was served.
I play for weddings and events in Grand Rapids and throughout West Central Michigan. Until large gatherings are possible, I also play remotely via Zoom or other platforms. Please contact me for availability and details!
