Harp Music in DeKalb – Wedding at Kuipers Orchard

Northern Illinois Wedding Music

The rain moved the ceremony inside, but Amber and Scott still had a beautiful wedding!  When booking your venue, be sure there is a good back-up plan in place for inclement weather.  It’s perfect when it’s at the same location, as it was at Kuipers Orchard!  Much easier for guests and vendors when they don’t have to navigate to a different place, and you can wait until closer to your start time to make the call to move indoors.

Even though the ceremony couldn’t be outside, the setting inside the barn was still lovely.  I played the prelude as guests arrived and were seated.  The entrance music for the wedding party was “All I Ask of You” from Phantom of the Opera, with the flower girls and ring bearers coming down the aisle to “Rainbow Connection” from The Muppet Movie.  The bride’s processional was “Marry Me” by Train.

The ceremony concluded with the recessional “I Choose You” by Sara Bareilles, and then it was off to the other half of the barn for the cocktail hour!  In between raindrops, the couple was able to get some outdoor photos taken around the grounds.  They had harp music for the cocktail hour, too, and it included popular music and familiar classics.
