With so many wonderful wedding venues, it’s not often that I play at the same place within a year – let alone just a few weeks apart! After the Renaissance wedding in late April, I was back at Firestone Baars Chapel in Columbia in early May.
Ashley and Jacob had a beautiful spring day for their wedding. I played a variety of classical music as guests found seats in the chapel, and switched to the Impressionistic piece “Claire de Lune” by Debussy as the family members entered the sanctuary.
The wedding party processional was Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” and Ashley came down the aisle to “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King. The ceremony concluded with the Beatles’ hit “Here Comes the Sun” for the recessional.
As guests exited the chapel, I continued playing upbeat popular music as the postlude. If you are planning a wedding or other event in Columbia, get in touch! I play throughout Missouri for wedding ceremonies, receptions, holiday parties, and more. Visit my website ~ Central Missouri Harpist ~ to contact me and receive a quote!
