The aunt of the groom decided to give this couple a fantastic wedding gift – harp music for their ceremony! She contacted and booked me, and then the bride and groom were able to select the music themselves. What a perfect way to take some of the planning stress off the couple, and give them a gift to enhance their wedding day!
I played prelude music as guests arrived at Julia’s Banquet Center in Alton. When the wedding party was lined up, I switched to Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” for their processional. Katyann chose the traditional “Here Comes the Bride” for her processional.
During the ceremony, they combined glass beads in a unity heart to “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Their recessional to conclude the ceremony was another Taylor Swift song, “Today was a Fairytale.” I continued with more contemporary selections, including “Perfect,” “All You Need is Love,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” as guests were dismissed from the ceremony space and headed to the cocktail hour.
It might not be a traditional part of a wedding registry, but yes, you can gift harp music! I am available throughout the St. Louis area to play for ceremonies, receptions, and showers. Contact me via my website – St. Louis Wedding Harpist – to start making plans!
