Topher and Brian were married on the grounds of the Mississippi Museum of Art in Jackson, with the reception following inside the museum. Their fall wedding was accented with the colors of black, red, and deep plum. But with temperatures in the mid-80s, it felt more like summer!
As guests arrived and were seated in the gardens, the harp music included popular songs such as “Tale as Old as Time” from Beauty and the Beast and “Marry Me” by Train. The wedding party entered as couples to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.”
For the grooms’ entrance, they had a vocalist singing “Unchained Melody” with guitar accompaniment. After so many popular songs, they went traditional for the recessional, choosing Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March.” I continued with uptempo harp postlude music as guests were directed inside for the cocktail hour.
Harp music is an elegant addition to a wedding in any location. I play in Jackson and throughout Mississippi, and would love to be the harpist for your day! Please get in touch by visiting my website ~ Jackson MS Wedding Harpist ~ to start planning your wedding music!
