Kara and Kyle had a lovely and personal wedding ceremony at Pathway Community Church on the north side of Fort Wayne, Indiana. As guests entered the sanctuary, they were greeted with classical harp music.
For the entrance of the wedding party, I played Pachelbel’s “Canon in D.” When the flower girls were halfway down the aisle, I switched to the traditional processional “Bridal Chorus” – also known as “Here Comes the Bride” – for Kara’s entrance.
During the ceremony, the couple had a cord braiding ceremony, which was accompanied by an improvisatory harp piece, featuring lots of glissandos! The recessional was Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March.” I continued to play upbeat classical harp music until the bride and groom had dismissed all of their guests.
