Erin and Ryan had a beautiful Sunday evening wedding at the Omni William Penn. From the 17th floor of the hotel, their ceremony in the Urban Room overlooked downtown Pittsburgh. The high-ceilinged space was filled with harp music, and my harp fit in perfectly with the Art Deco stylings!
As guests were seated, I played a variety of classical music and contemporary love songs. The wedding party processional was Elton John’s “Your Song.” Erin and her parents came down the aisle to “Canon in D” by Pachelbel.
During the Jewish ceremony, they used a kiddush cup that was originally from the groom’s father’s Bar Mitzvah. The rabbi read the ketubah to the guests, and the brothers of the bride and groom recited the seven blessings.
The ceremony concluded with the breaking of the glass, and I played “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles as the recessional. Guests exited to the cocktail hour, and I continued with upbeat popular music as they went through the receiving line.
I play for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and other events in Pittsburgh and throughout Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. Please get in touch to discuss the music for your event! You’ll find more pictures, song lists, and audio/video samples at my website: Pittsburgh Wedding Harpist.
