Deb and Ian held their wedding at their home in Nassau, overlooking the water. It was a delightful mix of family and friends from all over the world, gathering to celebrate in the tropical paradise of the Bahamas!

They requested all classical music, including Handel’s Water Music and “Spring” from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, for the prelude as guests arrived. With my carbon-fibre Infinity harp, it’s very easy to relocate from one place to another. I began along the stone walkway as guests entered the grounds, and shortly before the service was ready to begin, moved beachside for the ceremony.

The love theme from St. Elmo’s Fire was chosen for the entrance of the groom and ushers, followed by “Rainbow Connection” from The Muppet Movie for the bridesmaids and flower girl. The bride came down the aisle to Pachelbel’s “Canon in D.”

During the ceremony, I played “How Long will I Love You” as a musical interlude and “Aria” from Handel’s Rinaldo for the signing of the registry. The bride and groom chose the traditional “Wedding March” by Mendelssohn for their recessional.

A few more classical pieces to accompany the guests filing out, and then everyone was up to the house and garden for cocktail hour. The harp and I moved up, too, and switched up the music from classical to contemporary.

One special request was the theme from Picket Fences. Along with that, I also played “All You Need is Love,” “Somebody to Love,” “Marry Me,” and “A Whole New World” – and many more! I continued harp music on the veranda until dinner was served on the tented lawn.

I play for weddings in Nassau and throughout the Bahamas, and would love to add the music of the harp to your day! Get in touch by visiting my website ~ Bahamas Wedding Harpist ~ to check availability and receive a quote!
