Ave Maria – Schubert
Ave Maria by Franz Schubert
A well-loved classical and sacred favorite, I have played this piece for dozens of Catholic weddings. Bridal Chorus (Here Comes the Bride) – Wagner; Harp Solo/Harp, Violin, & Cello Trio

Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring
One of J. S. Bach’s best-loved compositions, and the final movement of his Cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben (Heart and Mouth and Deed and Life), this piece is very popular for wedding ceremonies.
Played at a moderate tempo, it works well for a processional (and pairs nicely with Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” if that piece will also be part of your entrance music). Slightly faster, it becomes a lively recessional, sending the newly-married couple joyfully off to the reception. It is also frequently played during the Christmas season.
This piece can be played on pedal harp or lever harp. A version of this song recorded with a harp and marimba duet is also available. The duet and trio versions below were recorded live at wedding ceremonies.

German Lyrics
O Freunde, nicht diese Töne! Sondern laßt uns angenehmere anstimmen, und freudenvollere. Freude! Freude!
Such’ ihn über’m Sternenzelt! Über Sternen muß er wohnen.

Thou art giving and forgiving ever blessing, ever blest well-spring of the joy of living ocean-depth of happy rest Thou the Father, Christ our Brother— all who live in love are Thine Teach us how to love each other lift us to the Joy Divine

Prelude in C – Bach
Prelude in C by J. S. Bach
This piece by the Baroque composer J. S. Bach is the first prelude in his book The Well-Tempered Clavier. Although originally written for a keyboard instrument, the arpeggiated chords are idiomatic to the harp, and the piece makes a beautiful harp solo.

This piece can be played on pedal harp only.
Processional – Wood
Processional by Linda Wood

I can open your eyes Take you wonder by wonder Over, sideways, and under On a magic carpet ride

A whole new world A dazzling place I never knew But when I’m way up here It’s crystal clear That now I’m in a whole new world with you
Unbelievable sights Indescribable feeling Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling Through an endless diamond sky
A whole new world! Don’t you dare close your eyes A hundred thousand things to see Hold your breath – it gets better I’m like a shooting star I’ve come so far I can’t go back to where I used to be
A whole new world! Every turn a surprise With new horizons to pursue Every moment, red-letter
I’ll chase them anywhere There’s time to spare Let me share this whole new world with you

Lyrics
No more talk of darkness, Forget these wide-eyed fears; I’m here, nothing can harm you, My words will warm and calm you.
Let me be your freedom, Let daylight dry your tears; I’m here, with you, beside you, To guard you and to guide you.
Say you love me every waking moment, Turn my head with talk of summertime. Say you need me with you now and always; Promise me that all you say is true, That’s all I ask of you.
Let me be your shelter, Let me be your light; You’re safe, no one will find you, Your fears are far behind you.
All I want is freedom, A world with no more night; And you, always beside me, To hold me and to hide me.
Then say you’ll share with me one love, one lifetime; Let me lead you from your solitude. Say you need me with you, here beside you, Anywhere you go, let me go too, Christine, that’s all I ask of you
Say you’ll share with me one love, one lifetime; Say the word and I will follow you.
Share each day with me, Each night, each morning. Say you love me! You know I do.
Anywhere you go, let me go to Love me, that’s all I ask of you.

Lyrics
What would I do without your smart mouth? Drawing me in, and you kicking me out You’ve got my head spinning, no kidding, I can’t pin you down What’s going on in that beautiful mind? I’m on your magical mystery ride And I’m so dizzy, don’t know what hit me, but I’ll be alright
My head’s under water But I’m breathing fine You’re crazy and I’m out of my mind
‘Cause all of me Loves all of you Love your curves and all your edges All your perfect imperfections Give your all to me I’ll give my all to you You’re my end and my beginning Even when I lose I’m winning ‘Cause I give you all of me And you give me all of you, oh-oh
How many times do I have to tell you? Even when you’re crying, you’re beautiful too The world is beating you down, I’m around through every mood You’re my downfall, you’re my muse My worst distraction, my rhythm and blues I can’t stop singing, it’s ringing, in my head for you
My head’s under water But I’m breathing fine You’re crazy and I’m out of my mind
‘Cause all of me Loves all of you Love your curves and all your edges All your perfect imperfections Give your all to me I’ll give my all to you You’re my end and my beginning Even when I lose I’m winning ‘Cause I give you all of me And you give me all of you, oh-oh Give me all of you, oh
Cards on the table, we’re both showing hearts Risking it all, though it’s hard
‘Cause all of me Loves all of you Love your curves and all your edges All your perfect imperfections Give your all to me I’ll give my all to you You’re my end and my beginning Even when I lose I’m winning ‘Cause I give you all of me And you give me all of you
I give you all of me And you give me all of you, oh-oh

Every time our eyes meet This feeling inside me Is almost more than I can take Baby, when you touch me I can feel how much ya love me And it just blows me away I’ve never been this close to anyone or anything I can hear your thoughts, I can see your dreams
I don’t know how you do what you do I’m so in love with you It just keeps gettin’ better I wanna spend the rest of my life with you by my side Forever and ever Every little thing that you do Baby, I’m amazed by you
The smell of your skin The taste of your kiss The way you whisper in the dark Your hair all around me Baby, you surround me You touch every place in my heart Oh, it feels like the first time every time I wanna spend the whole night in your eyes
I don’t know how you do what you do I’m so in love with you It just keeps gettin’ better I wanna spend the rest of my life with you by my side Forever and ever Every little thing that you do Baby, I’m amazed by you

Lyrics
At last My love has come along My lonely days are over And life is like a song
At last The skies above are blue My heart was wrapped up in clover The night I looked at you
I found a dream, that I could speak to A dream that I can call my own I found a thrill to press my cheek to A thrill that I have never known
You smiled, you smiled Oh and then the spell was cast And here we are in heaven for you are mine…

Beautiful dreamer, wake unto me, Starlight and dewdrops are waiting for thee; Sounds of the rude world, heard in the day, Lull’d by the moonlight have all passed away! Beautiful dreamer, queen of my song, List while I woo thee with soft melody; Gone are the cares of life’s busy throng, Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me! Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me!
Beautiful dreamer, out on the sea, Mermaids are chanting the wild lorelei; Over the streamlet vapors are borne, Waiting to fade at the bright coming morn. Beautiful dreamer, beam on my heart, Even as the morn on the streamlet and sea; Then will all clouds of sorrow depart, Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me! Beautiful dreamer, awake unto me!

Lyrics
I set out on a narrow way many years ago Hoping I would find true love along the broken road But I got lost a time or two Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn’t see how every sign pointed straight to you That every long lost dream lead me to where you are Others who broke my heart, they were like northern stars Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true That God blessed the broken road That led me straight to you Yes it did
I think about the years I spent just passing through I’d like to have the time I lost and give it back to you But you just smile and take my hand You’ve been there you understand It’s all part of a grander plan that is coming true
Every long lost dream led me to where you are And others who broke my heart they were like northern stars Pointing me on my way into your loving arms This much I know it’s true That God blessed the broken road That led me straight to you
And now I’m just rolling home Into my lover’s arms This much I know is true That God blessed the broken road That led me straight to you

Can you feel the love tonight? The peace the evening brings The world, for once, in perfect harmony With all its living things
So many things to tell her But how to make her see The truth about my past? Impossible! She’d turn away from me
He’s holding back, he’s hiding But what, I can’t decide Why won’t he be the king I know he is The king I see inside?
Can you feel the love tonight? The peace the evening brings The world, for once, in perfect harmony With all its living things
Can you feel the love tonight? You needn’t look too far Stealing through the night’s uncertainties Love is where they are

I’ll be your candle on the water ‘Till every wave is warm and bright My soul is there beside you Let this candle guide you Soon you’ll see a golden stream of light
A cold and friendless tide has found you Don’t let the stormy darkness pull you down I’ll paint a ray of hope around you Circling in the air, lighted by a prayer
I’ll be your candle on the water This flame inside of me will grow Keep holding on, you’ll make it Here’s my hand, so take it Look for me reaching out to show As sure as rivers flow I’ll never let you go

I’m sailing away set an open course for the virgin sea I’ve got to be free free to face the life that’s ahead of me On board I’m the captain so climb aboard We’ll search for tomorrow on every shore And I’ll try oh Lord I’ll try to carry on
I look to the sea reflections in the waves spark my memory Some happy some sad I think of childhood friends and the dreams we had We live happily forever so the story goes But somehow we missed out on that pot of gold But we’ll try best that we can to carry on
A gathering of angels appeared above my head They sang to me this song of hope and this is what they said They said come sail away come sail away Come sail away with me
I thought that they were angels but to my surprise They climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skies Singing, come sail away come sail away Come sail away with me Come sail away come sail away Come sail away with me

Lyrics
Whenever sang my songs On the stage, on my own Whenever said my words Wishing they would be heard I saw you smiling at me Was it real, or just my fantasy? You’d always be there in the corner Of this tiny little bar
My last night here for you Same old songs, just once more My last night here with you? Maybe yes, maybe no I kind of liked it your way How you shyly placed your eyes on me Did you ever know That I had mine on you?
Darling, so there you are With that look on your face As if you’re never hurt As if you’re never down Shall I be the one for you Who pinches you softly but sure? If frown is shown, then I will know that you are no dreamer
So let me come to you Close as I want to be Close enough for me To feel your heart beating fast And stay there as I whisper How I love your peaceful eyes on me Did you ever know That I had mine on you?
Darling, so share with me Your love if you have enough Your tears if you’re holding back Or pain if that’s what it is How can I let you know I’m more than the dress and the voice Just reach me out, then You will know that you are not dreaming
Darling, so there you are With that look on your face As if you’re never hurt As if you’re never down Shall I be the one for you Who pinches you softly but sure? If frown is shown, then I will know that you are no dreamer

Take this sinking boat and point it home We’ve still got time Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice You’ll make it now
Falling slowly, eyes that know me And I can’t go back Moods that take me and erase me And I’m painted black You have suffered enough And warred with yourself It’s time that you won
Take this sinking boat and point it home We’ve still got time Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice You’ll make it now
Falling slowly sing your melody I’ll sing along

Lyrics
You’ll remember me when the west wind moves Upon the fields of barley You’ll forget the sun in his jealous sky As we walk in fields of gold
So she took her love for to gaze awhile Upon the fields of barley In his arms she fell as her hair came down Among the fields of gold
Will you stay with me, will you be my love Among the fields of barley We’ll forget the sun in his jealous sky As we lie in fields of gold
See the west wind move like a lover so Upon the fields of barley Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth Among the fields of gold
I never made promises lightly And there have been some that I’ve broken But I swear in the days still left We’ll walk in fields of gold
Many years have passed since those summer days Among the fields of barley See the children run as the sun goes down Among the fields of gold
You’ll remember me when the west wind moves Upon the fields of barley You can tell the sun in his jealous sky When we walked in fields of gold

I give my hand to you with all my heart I can’t wait to live my life with you I can’t wait to start You and I will never be apart My dreams came true because of you
From this moment, as long as I live I will love you, I promise you this There is nothing, I wouldn’t give From this moment on
You’re the reason I believe in love And you’re the answer to my prayers from up above All we need is just the two of us My dreams came true because of you
From this moment, as long as I live I will love you, I promise you this There is nothing, I wouldn’t give From this moment, I will love you As long as I live, from this moment on

Lyrics
Now I’ve heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord But you don’t really care for music, do you? It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth The minor fall, the major lift The baffled king composing “Hallelujah”
Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you She tied you to a kitchen chair She broke your throne, and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Baby I have been here before I know this room, I’ve walked this floor I used to live alone before I knew you I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch Love is not a victory march It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah
There was a time you let me know What’s really going on below But now you never show it to me, do you? And remember when I moved in you The holy dove was moving too And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah
You say I took the name in vain I don’t even know the name But if I did, well really, what’s it to you? There’s a blaze of light in every word It doesn’t matter which you heard The holy or the broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Maybe there’s a God above But all I’ve ever learned from love Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you And it’s not a cry that you hear at night It’s not somebody who’s seen the light It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah
I did my best, it wasn’t much I couldn’t feel, so I tried to touch I’ve told the truth, I didn’t come to fool you And even though it all went wrong I’ll stand before the Lord of Song With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Come a little bit closer Hear what I have to say Just like children sleepin’ We could dream this night away
But there’s a full moon risin’ Let’s go dancin’ in the light We know where the music’s playin’ Let’s go out and feel the night
Because I’m still in love with you I want to see you dance again Because I’m still in love with you On this harvest moon
When we were strangers I watched you from afar When we were lovers I loved you with all my heart
But now it’s gettin’ late And the moon is climbin’ high I want to celebrate See it shinin’ in your eye
Because I’m still in love with you I want to see you dance again Because I’m still in love with you On this harvest moon

There’s a love that’s divine and it’s yours and it’s mine like the sun And at the end of the day we should give thanks and pray to the one, to the one
Have I told you lately that I love you Have I told you there’s no one else above you Fill my heart with gladness take away all my sadness ease my troubles that’s what you do

Lyrics
Hey, Jude, don’t make it bad Take a sad song and make it better Remember to let her into your heart Then you can start to make it better
Hey, Jude, don’t be afraid You were made to go out and get her The minute you let her under your skin Then you begin to make it better
And anytime you feel the pain, Hey, Jude, refrain Don’t carry the world upon your shoulders For well you know that it’s a fool Who plays it cool By making his world a little colder
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah nah
Hey, Jude, don’t let me down You have found her, now go and get her Remember to let her into your heart Then you can start to make it better
So let it out and let it in, Hey, Jude, begin You’re waiting for someone to perform with And don’t you know that it’s just you, Hey, Jude, you’ll do The movement you need is on your shoulder
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah nah yeah
Hey, Jude, don’t make it bad Take a sad song and make it better Remember to let her under your skin Then you’ll begin to make it better, better, better, better, better… oh!
Nah, nah nah, nah nah, nah, nah, nah nah, Hey, Jude

Lyrics
Let the bough break, let it come down crashing Let the sun fade out to a dark sky I can’t say I’d even notice it was absent ‘Cause I could live by the light in your eyes Unfold before you Would have strung together The very first words of a lifelong love letter
Tell the world that we finally got it all right I choose you I will become yours and you will become mine I choose you I choose you oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
There was a time when I would have believed them If they told me, you could not come true Just love’s illusion But then you found me and everything changed And I believe in something again My whole heart will be yours forever This is a beautiful start to a lifelong love letter
Tell the world that we finally got it all right I choose you (I choose you, I do) I will become yours and you will become mine I choose you (I choose you, I do)
We are not perfect We’ll learn from our mistakes And as long as it takes I will prove my love to you I am not scared of the elements I am under-prepared, but I am willing And even better I get to be the other half of you
Tell the world that we finally got it all right I choose you, yeah (I choose you, I do) I will become yours and you will become mine I choose you (I choose you, I do)

Lyrics
The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful Stop me and steal my breath And emeralds from mountains thrust toward the sky Never revealing their depth
And tell me that we belong together And dress it up with the trappings of love I’ll be captivated, I’ll hang from your lips Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above
And I’ll be your cryin’ shoulder I’ll be love’s suicide And I’ll be better when I’m older I’ll be the greatest fan of your life
And rain falls angry on the tin roof As we lie awake in my bed And you’re my survival, you’re my livin’ proof My love is alive and not dead
And tell me that we belong together And dress it up with the trappings of love I’ll be captivated, I’ll hang from your lips Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above
And I’ll be your cryin’ shoulder I’ll be love’s suicide And I’ll be better when I’m older I’ll be the greatest fan of your life
And I dropped out, I burned up I fought my way back from the dead Tuned in and turned on Remembered the thing that you, you said
And I’ll be your cryin’ shoulder I’ll be love’s suicide And I’ll be better when I’m older I’ll be the greatest fan of your life The greatest fan of your life

FrenchLyrics
English Lyrics
Hold me close and hold me fast The magic spell you cast This is la vie en rose When you kiss me, Heaven sighs And though I close my eyes
I see la vie en rose When you press me to your heart I’m in a world apart A world where roses bloom And when you speak Angels sing from above
Every day words Seem to turn into love songs Give your heart and soul to me And life will always be La vie en rose
I thought that love was just a word They sang about in songs I heard It took your kisses to reveal That I was wrong, and love is real Hold me close and hold me fast
The magic spell you cast This is la vie en rose When you kiss me, Heaven sighs And though I close my eyes I see la vie en rose
When you press me to your heart I’m in a world apart A world where roses bloom And when you speak Angels sing from above
Every day words Seem to turn into love songs Give your heart and soul to me And life will always be La vie en rose

Lady, I’m your knight in shining armor and I love you You have made me what I am and I’m yours My love, there’s so many ways I want to say I love you Let me hold you in my arms forever more
You have gone and made me such a fool I’m so lost in your love And oh, girl we belong together Won’t you believe in my song?
Lady, for so many years I thought I’d never find you You have come into my life and, made me whole Forever let me wake to see you each and every morning Let me hear you whisper softly in my ear
In my eyes I see no one else but you There’s no other love like our love Oh yes, girl I’ll always want you near me I’ve waited for you for so long
Oh, lady, your love’s the only love I need And beside me is where I want you to be ‘Cause, my love, my love, there’s somethin’ I want you to know You’re the love of my life, of my life, you’re my lady You’re my lady

Lyrics
Forever can never be long enough for me To feel like I’ve had long enough with you Forget the world now, we won’t let them see But there’s one thing left to do Now that the weight has lifted Love has surely shifted my way
Marry me Today and every day Marry me If I ever get the nerve to say “Hello” in this cafe Say you will Say you will
Together can never be close enough for me To feel like I am close enough to you You wear white and I’ll wear out the words “I love you” And you’re beautiful Now that the wait is over And love has finally shown her my way
Marry me Today and every day Marry me If I ever get the nerve to say “Hello” in this cafe Say you will Say you will
Promise me You’ll always be Happy by my side I promise to Sing to you When all the music dies
And marry me Today and everyday Marry me If I ever get the nerve to say “Hello” in this cafe Say you will Say you will

Lyrics
Midnight Not a sound from the pavement Has the moon lost her memory She is smiling alone In the lamplight The withered leaves collect at my feet And the wind begins to moan
Memory All alone in the moonlight I can smile at the old days I was beautiful then I remember the time I knew what happiness was Let the memory live again
Every street lamp seems to beat A fatalistic warning Someone mutters and the street lamp gutters And soon it will be morning
Daylight I must wait for the sunrise I must think of a new life And I mustn’t give in When the dawn comes Tonight will be a memory too And a new day will begin
Burnt out ends of smoky days The still cold smell of morning A street lamp dies, another night is over Another day is dawning
Touch me, It is so easy to leave me All alone with the memory Of my days in the sun If you touch me, You’ll understand what happiness is Look, a new day has begun

Every night in my dreams I see you, I feel you That is how I know you, go on
Far across the distance And spaces between us You have come to show you, go on
Near, far, wherever you are I believe that the heart does go on Once more you open the door And you’re here in my heart and my heart will go on and on
Love can touch us one time And last for a lifetime And never let go till we’re gone
Love was when I loved you One true time I hold you In my life we’ll always go on
Near, far, wherever you are I believe that the heart does go on Once more you open the door And you’re here in my heart And my heart will go on and on
You’re here, there’s nothing I fear And I know that my heart will go on We’ll stay forever this way You are safe in my heart and my heart will go on and on

So close no matter how far Couldn’t be much more from the heart Forever trusting who we are And nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you Every day for us something new Open mind for a different view And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do Never cared for what they know But I know
So close no matter how far Couldn’t be much more from the heart Forever trusting who we are And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do Never cared for what they know But I know
I never opened myself this way Life is ours, we live it our way All these words I don’t just say And nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you Every day for us something new Open mind for a different view And nothing else matters

Who can say when the roads meet That love might be in your heart And who can say when the day sleeps If the night keeps all your heart Night keeps all your heart
Who can say if your love grows As your heart chose, only time And who can say where the road goes Where the day flows, only time
Who knows? Only time

Lyrics
Somewhere over the rainbow way up high There’s a land that I heard of once in a lullaby Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true
Someday I’ll wish upon a star And wake up where the clouds are far behind me Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That’s where you’ll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow bluebirds fly Birds fly over the rainbow. Why then, oh, why can’t I?
If happy little bluebirds fly Beyond the rainbow. Why, oh, why can’t I?

Lyrics
Why are there so many songs about rainbows and what’s on the other side? Rainbows are visions, but only illusions, and rainbows have nothing to hide So we’ve been told and some choose to believe it I know they’re wrong wait and see
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection The lovers, the dreamers and me
Who said that wishes would be heard and answered when wished on the morning star? Someone thought of that and someone believed it And look what it’s done so far What’s so amazing that keeps us stargazing and what do we think we might see?
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection The lovers, the dreamers and me
All of us under its spell We know that it’s probably magic Have you been sleeping and have you heard voices? I’ve heard them calling my name Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors The voice might be one and the same I’ve heard it too many times to ignore it It’s something that I’m supposed to be
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers and me
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers and me

Lyrics
Isn’t it rich? Are we a pair? Me here, at last, on the ground You in mid-air Send in the clowns
Isn’t it bliss? Don’t you approve? One who keeps tearing around One who can’t move Where are the clowns? Send in the clowns
Just when I’d stopped opening doors Finally knowing the one that I wanted was yours Making my entrance again with my usual flair Sure of my lines No one is there
Don’t you love farce? My fault, I fear I thought that you’d want what I want Sorry, my dear But where are the clowns? There ought to be clowns Quick, send in the clowns
What a surprise! Who could foresee? I’d come to feel about you What you felt about me Why only now, when I see That you’ve drifted away? What a surprise What a cliche
Isn’t it rich? Isn’t it queer? Losing my timing this late in my career And where are the clowns? Quick, send in the clowns
Don’t bother They’re here

Lyrics
There’s a saying old, says that love is blind Still we’re often told, seek and ye shall find So I’m going to seek a certain lad I’ve had in mind
Looking everywhere, haven’t found him yet He’s the big affair I cannot forget Only man I ever think of with regret
I’d like to add his initial to my monogram Tell me, where is the shepherd for this lost lamb?
There’s a somebody I’m longin’ to see I hope that he turns out to be Someone who’ll watch over me
I’m a little lamb who’s lost in the wood I know I could always be good To one who’ll watch over me
Although he may not be The man some girls think of as handsome To my heart, he carries the key
Won’t you tell him please to put on some speed Follow my lead, oh, how I need Someone to watch over me.

Lyrics
There’s a lady who’s sure All that glitters is gold And she’s buying a stairway to heaven. When she gets there she knows If the stores are all closed With a word she can get what she came for. Ooh ooh and she’s buying a stairway to heaven.
There’s a sign on the wall But she wants to be sure ‘Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings. In a tree by the brook There’s a songbird who sings, Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven. Ooh, it makes me wonder, Ooh, it makes me wonder.
There’s a feeling I get When I look to the west, And my spirit is crying for leaving. In my thoughts I have seen Rings of smoke through the trees, And the voices of those who standing looking. Ooh, it makes me wonder, Ooh, it really makes me wonder.
And it’s whispered that soon, If we all call the tune Then the piper will lead us to reason. And a new day will dawn For those who stand long And the forests will echo with laughter. If there’s a bustle in your hedgerow, Don’t be alarmed now, It’s just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by But in the long run There’s still time to change the road you’re on. And it makes me wonder. Your head is humming and it won’t go In case you don’t know, The piper’s calling you to join him, Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, And did you know Your stairway lies on the whispering wind. And as we wind on down the road Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know Who shines white light and wants to show How ev’rything still turns to gold. And if you listen very hard The tune will come to you at last. When all are one and one is all To be a rock and not to roll. And she’s buying a stairway to heaven.

So darlin’, darlin’, stand by me, oh stand by me Oh stand by me, stand by me
If the sky that we look upon Should tumble and fall Or the mountains should crumble to the sea I won’t cry, I won’t cry, no I won’t shed a tear Just as long as you stand, stand by me
And darlin’, darlin’, stand by me, oh stand by me Oh stand now by me, stand by me, stand by me-e, yeah
Whenever you’re in trouble won’t you stand by me, oh now now stand by me Oh stand by me, stand by me

Lyrics
Come my love I’ll tell you a tale, Of a boy and girl And their love story. And how he loved her oh so much, and all the charms she did possess Now this did happen once upon a time, When things were not so complex. And how he worshiped the ground she walked, And when he looked he became obsessed.
My love is like a storybook story, But it’s as real as the feelings I feel.
His love was stronger than the power so dark, A prince could have within his keeping. His spells to weave and steal her heart, Within her heart but only sleeping.
My love is like a storybook story, But it’s as real as the feelings I feel.
And he said: “Don’t you know I love you oh, so much, and lay my heart at the foot of your dress.” And she said: “Don’t you know that storybook loves, Always have a happy ending.” Then he swooped her up just like in the books And on his stallion they rode away.
My love is like a storybook story, But it’s as real as the feelings I feel.

Lyrics
Is this the little girl I carried? Is this the little boy at play? I don’t remember growing older, When did they?
When did she get to be a beauty? When did he grow to be so tall? Wasn’t it yesterday when they were small?
Sunrise sunset, sunrise, sunset, Swiftly flow the days, Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers, Blossoming even as they gaze…
Sunrise sunset, sunrise, sunset! Swiftly fly the years, One season following another, Laden with happiness and tears…

I hear the cottonwoods whisperin’ above Tammy! Tammy! Tammy’s in love! The old hootie owl hootie-hoo’s to the dove Tammy! Tammy! Tammy’s in love! Does my lover feel what I feel When he comes near? My heart beats so joyfully You’d think that he could hear! Wish I knew if he knew what I’m dreaming of! Tammy! Tammy! Tammy’s in love!
Whippoorwill, whippoorwill, you and I know Tammy! Tammy! Can’t let him go! The breeze from the bayou keeps murmuring low Tammy! Tammy! You love him so! When the night is warm, soft and warm I long for his charms! I’d sing like a violin If I were in his arms Wish I knew if he knew what I’m dreaming of! Tammy, Tammy, Tammy’s in love!

Lyrics
I don’t get many things right the first time, In fact, I am told that a lot Now I know all the wrong turns the stumbles, And falls brought me here And where was I before the day That I first saw your lovely face, Now I see it every day
And I know That I am, I am, I am, the luckiest
What if I had been born fifty years before you In a house on the street Where you lived Maybe I’d be outside as you passed on your bike. Would I know? And in a wide sea of eyes I see one pair that I recognize
And I know That I am, I am, I am, the luckiest
I love you more then have Ever found the way to say To you
Next door there’s an old man who lived to his nineties and one day Passed away in his sleep, And his wife, she stayed for a couple of days, and passed away I’m sorry I know that’s a strange way to tell you that I know we belong,

The Prayer from “Quest for Camelot”
The Prayer from “Quest for Camelot”
This song was written for the 1998 movie Quest for Camelot, and performed as a duet by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. It won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song. I have played this piece for wedding receptions, parties, and for wedding ceremonies (as prelude, interludes, and processionals).

Lyrics (English & Italian)
I pray you’ll be our eyes and watch us where we go And help us to be wise in times when we don’t know Let this be our prayer When we lose our way Lead us to a place Guide us with your grace To a place where we’ll be safe
La luce che tu hai (I pray we’ll find your light) Nel cuore resterà (And hold it in our hearts) A ricordarci che (When stars go out each night) Eterna stella sei Nella mia preghiera (Let this be our prayer) Quanta fede c’è (When shadows fill our day)
Lead us to a place Guide us with your grace Give us faith so we’ll be safe Sogniamo un mondo senza più violenza Un mondo di giustizia e di speranza Ognuno dia la mano al suo vicino Simbolo di pace, di fraternità La forza che ci dà
È il desiderio che (And watch us from above) Ognuno trovi amor (We hope each soul will find) Intorno e dentro sé (Another soul to love)
Let this be our prayer Let this be our prayer Just like every child Just like every child Need to find a place, guide us with your grace Give us faith so we’ll be safe È la fede che Hai acceso in noi Sento che ci salverà
Theme from “Love Story”
Theme from “Love Story” (Where Do I Begin?)
This was originally written by Frances Lai as an instrumental theme for the 1970 movie Love Story. Lyrics by Carl Sigman were added after the song became popular. This piece can be part of a wedding prelude or background music at any event.
This piece can be played on pedal harp or lever harp.
Lyrics
Where do I begin To tell the story of how great a love can be The sweet love story that is older than the sea The simple truth about the love she brings to me Where do I start
With her first hello She gave new meaning to this empty world of mine There’ll never be another love, another time She came into my life and made the living fine She fills my heart
She fills my heart with very special things With angels’ songs, with wild imaginings She fills my soul with so much love That anywhere I go I’m never lonely With her around, who could be lonely I reach for her hand, it’s always there
How long does it last? Can love be measured by the hours in a day? I have no answers now but this much I can say I know I’ll need her till the stars all burn away And she’ll be there
How long does it last? Can love be measured by the hours in a day? I have no answers now but this much I can say I know I’ll need her till the stars all burn away And she’ll be there

Lyrics
When your legs don’t work like they used to before And I can’t sweep you off of your feet Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks
And darling I will be loving you ’til we’re 70 And baby my heart could still fall as hard at 23 And I’m thinking ’bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways Maybe just the touch of a hand Oh me I fall in love with you every single day And I just wanna tell you I am
So honey now Take me into your loving arms Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars Place your head on my beating heart I’m thinking out loud Maybe we found love right where we are
When my hair’s all but gone and my memory fades And the crowds don’t remember my name When my hands don’t play the strings the same way, mm I know you will still love me the same
‘Cause honey your soul can never grow old, it’s evergreen Baby your smile’s forever in my mind and memory I’m thinking ’bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways Maybe it’s all part of a plan I’ll just keep on making the same mistakes Hoping that you’ll understand
But baby now Take me into your loving arms Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars Place your head on my beating heart I’m thinking out loud That maybe we found love right where we are

This will be An everlasting love This will be The one I’ve waited for This will be The first time anyone has loved me, oh
I’m so glad He found in time And I’m so glad that He rectified my mind This will be An everlasting love for me, whoa, oh
Loving you Is some kind of wonderful Because you’ve shown me Just how much you care You’ve given me the thrill of a lifetime And made me believe you’ve got more thrills to spare, oh
This will be An everlasting love, oh, yes, it will now You’ve brought a lot of sunshine into my life You’ve filled me with happiness I never knew You gave me more joy than I ever dreamed of And no one, no one can take the place of you, ooh
This will be, you and me, yes, siree, eternally Huggin’ and squeezin’ and kissin’ and pleasin’ Together forever through rain or whatever Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you and me
So long as I’m livin’ true love I’ll be givin’, to you I’ll be servin’ ‘Cause you’re so deservin’ Hey, you’re so deservin’ You’re so deservin’, yeah, yeah, yeah The love, the love, the love, the love, the love, the love, love, love From now on, from now onV

English Lyrics
When I’m alone I dream on the horizon And words fail; Yes, I know there is no light In a room where the sun is absent, If you are not with me, with me. At the windows Show everyone my heart Which you set alight; Enclose within me The light you Encountered on the street.
Time to say goodbye To countries I never Saw and shared with you, Now, yes, I shall experience them. I’ll go with you On ships across seas Which, I know, No, no, exist no longer. It’s time to say goodbye…
When you are far away I dream on the horizon And words fail, And, Yes, I know That you are with me; You, my moon, are here with me, My sun, you are here with me, With me, with me, with me.
Time to say goodbye To countries I never Saw and shared with you, Now, yes, I shall experience them.
I’ll go with you On ships across seas Which, I know, No, no, exist no longer, With you I shall experience them again.
I’ll go with you On ships across seas Which, I know, No, no, exist no longer; With you I shall experience them again.
I’ll go with you, I with you.

Lyrics
Try to remember the kind of September When life was slow and oh, so mellow. Try to remember the kind of September When grass was green and grain so yellow. Try to remember the kind of September When you were a young and callow fellow, Try to remember and if you remember then follow.
Try to remember when life was so tender That no one wept except the willow. Try to remember when life was so tender That dreams were kept beside your pillow. Try to remember when life was so tender That love was an ember about to billow. Try to remember and if you remember then follow.
Deep in December it’s nice to remember Although you know the snow will follow. Deep in December it’s nice to remember Without a hurt the heart is hollow. Deep in December it’s nice to remember The fire of September that made you mellow. Deep in December our hearts should remember then follow.
Then follow

Lyrics
He is now to be among you at the calling of your hearts. Rest assured this troubadour is acting on His part. The union of your spirits here has caused Him to remain for whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name There is love There is love
Well a man shall leave his mother and a woman leave her home They shall travel on to where the two shall be as one. As it was in the beginning, is now until the end. Woman draws her life from man and gives it back again. There is love There is love
Well then what’s to be the reason for becoming man and wife Is it love that brings you here, or love that brings you life. For if loving is the answer then who’s the giving for. Do you believe in something that you’ve never seen before There is love
The marriage of your spirits here has caused him to remain For whenever two or more of you are gathered in his name There is love.

Lyrics
Today is gonna be the day That they’re gonna throw it back to you By now you should’ve somehow Realized what you gotta do I don’t believe that anybody Feels the way I do, about you now
Backbeat, the word was on the street That the fire in your heart is out I’m sure you’ve heard it all before But you never really had a doubt I don’t believe that anybody Feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding And all the lights that lead us there are blinding There are many things that I Would like to say to you but I don’t know how
Because maybe, you’re gonna be the one that saves me And after all, you’re my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day But they’ll never throw it back to you By now you should’ve somehow Realized what you’re not to do I don’t believe that anybody Feels the way I do, about you now
And all the roads that lead you there are winding And all the lights that light the way are blinding There are many things that I Would like to say to you but I don’t know how
I said maybe, you’re gonna be the one that saves me And after all, you’re my wonderwall
I said maybe, you’re gonna be the one that saves me you’re gonna be the one that saves me you’re gonna be the one that saves me

There goes my heart beating ‘Cause you are the reason I’m losing my sleep Please come back now And there goes my mind racing And you are the reason That I’m still breathing I’m hopeless now
I’d climb every mountain And swim every ocean Just to be with you And fix what I’ve broken Oh, ’cause I need you to see That you are the reason
There goes my hands shaking And you are the reason My heart keeps bleeding I need you now And if I could turn back the clock I’d make sure the light defeated the dark I’d spend every hour, of every day Keeping you safe
And I’d climb every mountain And swim every ocean Just to be with you And fix what I’ve broken Oh, ’cause I need you to see That you are the reason
I don’t wanna fight no more I don’t wanna hide no more I don’t wanna cry no more Come back I need you to hold me (you are the reason) Be a little closer now Just a little closer now Come a little closer I need you to hold me tonight
I’d climb every mountain And swim every ocean Just to be with you And fix what I’ve broken ‘Cause I need you to see That you are the reason

Ash Grove – Welsh
Ash Grove
A folk song from the Welsh tradition, this piece works well in a wedding ceremony prelude or as background music for other events. It is especially appropriate for parties taking place around St. David’s Day. The hymns “Let All Things Now Living” and “Sent Forth by God’s Blessing” are set to this tune.
This piece can be played on pedal harp or lever harp.
Lyrics
Down yonder green valley, where streamlets meander, When twilight is fading I pensively rove Or at the bright noontide in solitude wander, Amid the dark shades of the lonely ash grove; ‘T was there, while the blackbird was cheerfully singing, I first met my dear one, the joy of my heart! Around us for gladness the bluebells were ringing, Ah! then little thought I how soon we should part.
Still glows the bright sunshine o’er valley and mountain, Still warbles the blackbird its note from the tree; Still trembles the moonbeam on streamlet and fountain, But what are the beauties of nature to me? With sorrow, deep sorrow, my bosom is laden, All day I go mourning in search of my love; Ye echoes, oh, tell me, where is the sweet maiden? “She sleeps, ‘neath the green turf down by the ash grove.”

Lyrics
I wish I was in Carrickfergus Only for nights in Ballygrand I would swim over the deepest ocean The deepest ocean for my love to find
But the sea is wide and I cannot swim over Neither have I wings to fly If I could find me a handsome boatsman To ferry me over to my love and die
My childhood days bring back sad reflections Of happy times spent so long ago My childhood friends and my own relations Have all passed on now like melting snow
But I’ll spend my days in endless roaming Soft is the grass, my bed is free Ah, to be back now in Carrickfergus On that long road down to the sea
I’ll spend my days in endless roaming Soft is the grass, my bed is free But I am sick now, and my days are numbered Come all you young men and lay me down
David of the White Rock – Welsh
David of the White Rock (Dafydd y Garreg Wen)

Lyrics
It was down by the Sally Gardens, my love and I did meet. She crossed the Sally Gardens, with little snow-white feet. She bid me to take life easy, as the leaves grow on the tree, But I was young and foolish, and with her I did not agree.
In a field down by the river, my love and I did stand And upon my leaning shoulder, she laid her snow-white hand. She bid me to take life easy, as the grass grows on the weirs, But I was young and foolish, and now I am full of tears.
Down by the Sally Gardens, my love and I did meet. She crossed the Sally Gardens with little snow-white feet. She bid me to take life easy, as the leaves blow on the tree, But I was young and foolish, and with her I did not agree.
Fanaid Grove – Irish

Flow Gently Sweet Afton – Scottish
Flow Gently, Sweet Afton
This is a Robert Burns poem set to music by Jonathan E. Spillman in 1837. It shares a melody with one version of the Christmas carol “Away in a Manger.” It has a light and lilting melody, and works well for a wedding prelude or interlude during the ceremony.
This piece can be played on pedal harp or lever harp.
Lyrics
Flow gently, sweet Afton! amang thy green braes, Flow gently, I’ll sing thee a song in thy praise; My Mary’s asleep by thy murmuring stream, Flow gently, sweet Afton, disturb not her dream.
Thou stockdove whose echo resounds thro’ the glen, Ye wild whistling blackbirds in yon thorny den, Thou green-crested lapwing thy screaming forbear, I charge you, disturb not my slumbering Fair.
How lofty, sweet Afton, thy neighbouring hills, Far mark’d with the courses of clear, winding rills; There daily I wander as noon rises high, My flocks and my Mary’s sweet cot in my eye.
How pleasant thy banks and green valleys below, Where, wild in the woodlands, the primroses blow; There oft, as mild Ev’ning weeps over the lea, The sweet-scented birk shades my Mary and me.
Thy crystal stream, Afton, how lovely it glides, And winds by the cot where my Mary resides; How wanton thy waters her snowy feet lave, As, gathering sweet flowerets, she stems thy clear wave.
Flow gently, sweet Afton, amang thy green braes, Flow gently, sweet river, the theme of my lays; My Mary’s asleep by thy murmuring stream, Flow gently, sweet Afton, disturb not her dream.

Loch Lomond – Scottish
Loch Lomond
This Scottish folk song is traditionally the final song played at the end of a wedding reception or party in Scotland. It has been recorded by groups as diverse as hard rock band AC/DC, jazz singer Maxine Sullivan, and the a cappella group The Kings Singers. It makes a beautiful harp solo or I can accompany a singer. This piece is a staple for Burns Night and St. Andrew’s celebrations, and can also be played for wedding ceremonies and private parties.
This piece can be played on pedal harp or lever harp.
Lyrics
By yon bonnie banks and by yon bonnie braes, Where the sun shines bright on Loch Lomond, Where me and my true love will never meet again On the bonnie, bonnie banks o’ Loch Lomond.
O ye’ll tak’ the high road, and I’ll tak’ the low road, And I’ll be in Scottland a’fore ye, But me and my true love will never meet again, On the bonnie, bonnie banks o’ Loch Lomond.
‘Twas then that we parted, in yon shady glen, On the steep, steep side o’ Ben Lomond, Where in purple hue, the hieland hills we view, And the moon coming out in the gloaming.
The wee birdies sing and the wildflowers spring, And in sunshine the waters are sleeping. But the broken heart it kens, nae second spring again, Though the waeful may cease frae their grieving.

Lyrics
The Minstrel-Boy to the war is gone, In the ranks of death you’ll find him; His father’s sword he has girded on, And his wild harp slung behind him. “Land of song!” said the warrior-bard, “Tho’ all the world betrays thee, One sword, at least, thy rights shall guard, One faithful harp shall praise thee!”
The Minstrel fell!—but the foeman’s chain Could not bring that proud soul under; The harp he lov’d ne’er spoke again, For he tore its chords asunder; And said, “No chains shall sully thee, Thou soul of love and bravery! Thy songs were made for the pure and free, They shall never sound in slavery.
This traditional Scottish song is also popular in Ireland, and often sung at the end of a gathering of friends.
The trio version below was recorded live at a wedding ceremony.

Of all the money that e’er I had I spent it in good company And all the harm I’ve ever done Alas it was to none but me And all I’ve done for want of wit To mem’ry now I can’t recall So fill to me the parting glass Good night and joy be to you all
So fill to me the parting glass And drink a health whate’er befalls And gently rise and softly call Good night and joy be to you all
Of all the comrades that e’er I had They’re sorry for my going away And all the sweethearts that e’er I had They’d wish me one more day to stay But since it fell unto my lot That I should rise and you should not I gently rise and softly call Good night and joy be to you all
Fill to me the parting glass And drink a health whate’er befalls And gently rise and softly call Good night and joy be to you all
But since it fell unto my lot That I should rise and you should not I gently rise and softly call Good night and joy be to you all
So fill to me the parting glass And drink a health whate’er befalls And gently rise and softly call Good night and joy be to you all

Serch Hudol (The Allurement of Love) – Welshv
Serch Hudol (The Allurement of Love or Love’s Fascination)
Harps are well-loved by the Welsh, and the folk songs of Wales are particularly suited to the instrument. And 1895 publication even said “Tunes like Serch Hudol…lose their very soul and life when transferred from the harp to any other instrument.” This piece is simply perfect on the harp, and I have played it for all elements of a wedding ceremony, as well as for receptions and Welsh-themed events.
This piece can be played on pedal harp or lever harp.
English Lyrics
Passion of enchanting charm, Is flooding the grove, When there be a myriad of gentle birds, Singing in the wood. All nature is singing together, Nothing is deaf or mute, There is more music in the world, Than man ever supposed:
The choirs of bright Bliss, Shall sing forever without coming to an end, The golden harp the family of the sky have, In the presence of God himself! There is a song flying on its course, In the sound of the sea and the voice of the wind, The stars in the morning were singing before, Why will man not sing?
Enchanting passion is, Everything that is living, In the heaven and earth of God: From the sun which is burning above, To the glow-worm, who was given, To wander the bank and the root of the trees, For light on the footpath, Which leads to thy house.
Beautiful is the picture and colour, Of everything that comes from God’s hands, Where shall the eye of man go, that there is not In his presence, the pretty and the intricate? Beauty is flooding heaven, And every creature He created, From the eagle on his strong wing, To the wren which is in the thorn!

Lyrics
Oh Shenandoah, I long to see you, And hear your rolling river. Oh Shenandoah, I long to see you, Way, we’re bound away Across the wide Missouri.
Oh Shenandoah, I love your daughter, And hear your rolling river. For her I’d cross Your roaming waters, Way, we’re bound away Across the wide Missouri.
‘Tis seven years since last I’ve seen you, And hear your rolling river. ‘Tis seven years since last I’ve seen you, Way, we’re bound away Across the wide Missouri.
Oh Shenandoah, I long to hear you, And hear your rolling river. Oh Shenandoah, I long to hear you, Way, we’re bound away Across the wide Missouri.
Oh Shenandoah, I long to hear you, Far away, you rolling river. Oh Shenandoah, Just to be near you, Far away, far away. Across the wide Missouri.
Shule Aroon – Irish
Shule Aroon (Siuil A Run)
This is one of the most often performed traditional Irish tunes, including by Celtic Woman, Judy Collins, and The Chieftains. It is part of the music for Michael Flatley’s ord of the Dance, mentioned by James Joyce in Ulysses, and shares a tune with the American Revolutionary War-era song “Johnny Has Gone for a Soldier.”
This song is lovely as background music for any event, and particularly for St. Patrick’s day or other Irish celebrations.
This piece can be played on pedal harp or lever harp.
Lyrics
I wish I were on yonder hill ‘Tis there I’d sit and cry my fill, And ev’ry tear would turn a mill, Iss guh day thoo a voorneen slawn.
Shule, shule, shule aroon Shule go succir agus, shule go kewn; Shule go dheen durrus oggus aylig lume, Iss guh day thoo avorneen slawn.
I’ll sell my rod, I’ll sell my reel I’ll sell my only spinning wheel To by my love a sword of steel Iss guh day thoo a voorneen slawn.
I’ll dye my petticoats, I’ll dye them red And through the streets I’ll beg my bread, Until my parents shall wish me dead Iss guh day thoo a voorneen slawn.
I wish, I wish, I wish in vain I wish I had my heart again, And vainly think I’d not complain Iss guh day thoo a voorneen slawn.
But now my love has gone to France To try his fortune to advance. If he e’er come back, ’tis but a chance Iss guh day thoo a voorneen slawn.
Come, come, come O love, Quickly come to me, softly move, Come to the door and away we’ll flee, And safe forever may my darling be.

English Lyrics
Sleep child upon my bosom It is cosy and warm; Mother’s arms are tight around you, A mother’s love is in my breast; Nothing shall disturb your slumber, Nobody will do you harm; Sleep in peace, dear child, Sleep quietly on your mother’s breast.
Sleep peacefully tonight, sleep; Gently sleep, my lovely; Why are you now smiling, Smiling gently in your sleep? Are angels above smiling on you, As you smile cheerfully, Smiling back and sleeping, Sleeping quietly on my breast?
Do not fear, it is nothing but a leaf Beating, beating on the door; Do not fear, only a small wave Murmurs, murmurs on the seashore; Sleep child, there’s nothing here Nothing to give you fright; Smile quietly in my bosom, On the blessed angels yonder.
Water is Wide – English
The Water is Wide (O Waly, Waly)
This traditional song has roots in the British Isles and was popularized by Pete Seeger during the folk music revival. It has been arranged and performed countless times, by classical, country, pop, and rock musicians. This piece can be played on pedal harp or lever harp.
Lyrics
The water is wide, I cannot get o’er Neither have I wings to fly Give me a boat that can carry two And both shall cross my true love and I
I lean’d my back against an oak Thinking it was a mighty tree But first it bent and then it broke So did my love prove false to me
I put my hand in some soft bush Thinking the sweetest flow’are to find I prick’d my finger to the bone And left the sweetest flow’are behind
O love is handsome and love is kind Gay as a jewel when it is new But love grows old and waxes cold And fades away like the morning dew
The water is wide, I cannot get o’er Neither have I wings to fly Give me a boat that can carry two And both shall cross my true love and I

And you gave me a rose I showed it to my friends I hid it in my book then planted it on my pillow I gave you a flower pot You didn’t take care of it Until the present got lost
And you tell me you love me You don’t know how much Since you love me so much, why oh why? Do I write your name, my darling, on the old tree? You write my name, my darling, on the sand in the street? And tomorrow when it rains on the broken stories Your name will remain, my darling And mine will be erased Mine will be erased

Harp & Violin Duet
Lyrics
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; ’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun forbear to shine; But God, who called me here below, Will be forever mine.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise Than when we’d first begun.

I Wonder as I Wander
This Christmas carol was written by John Jacob Niles and based on a folk tune he heard sung in Appalachian North Carolina in 1933.
This piece can be played on pedal harp or lever harp.
Lyrics
I wonder as I wander out under the sky How Jesus the Saviour did come for to die For poor on’ry people like you and like I; I wonder as I wander out under the sky
When Mary birthed Jesus ’twas in a cow’s stall With wise men and farmers and shepherds and all But high from God’s heaven, a star’s light did fall And the promise of ages it then did recall.
If Jesus had wanted for any wee thing A star in the sky or a bird on the wing Or all of God’s Angels in heaven to sing He surely could have it, ’cause he was the King
I wonder as I wander out under the sky How Jesus the Saviour did come for to die For poor on’ry people like you and like I; I wonder as I wander out under the sky

Isaiah ’twas foretold it, This Rose that I have in mind. And with Mary we behold it, The Virgin Mother kind.
To show God’s love aright, She bore to men a Savior When half-spent was the night.

Silent night, holy night! Shepherds quake at the sight. Glories stream from heaven afar Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia, Christ the Savior is born! Christ the Savior is born
Silent night, holy night! Son of God love’s pure light. Radiant beams from Thy holy face With dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus Lord, at Thy birth Jesus Lord, at Thy birth

Still, still, still, One can hear the falling snow. For all is hushed, The world is sleeping, Holy Star its vigil keeping. Still, still, still, One can hear the falling snow.
Sleep, sleep, sleep, ‘Tis the eve of our Saviour’s birth. The night is peaceful all around you, Close your eyes, Let sleep surround you. Sleep, sleep, sleep, ‘Tis the eve of our Saviour’s birth.
Dream, dream, dream, Of the joyous day to come. While guardian angels without number, Watch you as you sweetly slumber. Dream, dream, dream, Of the joyous day to come.
