Julie and Paul lucked out with the weather on their wedding day! It was overcast and kept threatening to rain, but fortunately it held off until after their outdoor ceremony. They held both the ceremony and reception at Wisconsin’s Blue Mound State Park, halfway between Madison and Dodgeville, and close to Little Norway and Cave of the Mounds.

The ceremony was held in the amphitheatre, with guests arriving via a short path through the woods and finding seats on wooden benches. The prelude was classical music, including the Italian composition “Andiam, mio tesoro.”

The processionals were both Debussy pieces – “Reverie” for the wedding party and “First Arabesque” for the bride, who wore a stunning emerald green gown!
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the couple opted for “Great Day” as the recessional and Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” for guest dismissal. They made their way to the reception at the adjacent pavilion, and celebrated the rest of the evening!

I play for weddings and events throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota, and would love to discuss the music for your ceremony and reception! Contact me at {Madison WI Wedding Music} to start making plans!
