Stephanie planned a micro-wedding in record time! They booked on a Wednesday for their ceremony on that Friday – just two days in advance! Although many of my couples book 6+ months ahead of time (some even 2+ years out!), I welcome last-minute bookings as my schedule allows.

Held on the second story of the Adelphia Music Hall in Marietta, the ceremony, cocktails, and dinner were able to transition smoothly from one to the next. This was especially appreciated on a rainy November afternoon!

The guests arrived about half an hour before the ceremony began to enjoy an extended prelude which included “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin and “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran.

When Stephanie was ready to walk down the aisle, I played “Can’t Help Falling in Love” as her processional. At the conclusion of the ceremony, they went for something completely non-traditional – the recessional was the main theme from Super Mario Bros. That music will take you right back to the 80s!
Immediately following the recessional, I played “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles. It’s a favorite for a lot of couples, and if it’s not chosen for a specific time during the ceremony, the first piece of the postlude during guest dismissal is a great place to play it.

As a professional wedding harpist, I play for ceremonies and receptions in Southeast Ohio and throughout West Virginia. Contact me via my website ~ Marietta OH Wedding Musician ~ to start customizing your playlist!
